My LWD

Today is my Last Working Day at HCL Technologies, Chennai.

It is with a heavy heart that i rode the bike into the building this morning. As i rode throught the drive path, i could not help but notice the gardening on my right, with the prominent "Speed limit:10kmph" board, the security standing up and noting down the bike number.... I went and parked my bike at the place where i parked it 2 years back. Got down from it, swiped my access card at the "CTD Sigin" attendance system. Went up the steps, went to the restroom combed my hair, and had a face wash, came out had my cup of water... and proudly entered my ODC-4 and went to my place and sent out my first mail on my last day at work.

I am going to miss the wonderful atmosphere that HCL provided me with. Am going to miss the people, the staff... the canteen, the TT, the printouts, the stationary, the net connection, the downloads, my mail id (jbobby@hcl.in).... *sigh*....

This is gonna be my last blog post from my beloved HCL Technologies. Viva HCL, Adieu HCL.
You will always have a soft corner in my heart. I hope you grow in strength into one of the best software companies in the world. Hopefully i will return to you one day.

My last days at work

This is gonna be my last 2 weeks at my beloved company HCL Technologies, Chennai.

A company that has treated me and always made me feel as though it were my second home. Right fom the moment i got the offer letter for HCL Technologies in the midnight of 2nd June 2003 to the day on which i entered worklife as a software professional into HCL Tech on 2nd August 2004 to this very day, i just have fond memories with me.

I was blessed to be in this company and that too in this brach at Ambattur 3. 80% of my success in CAT and getting into IIM Banglore goes towards HCL Tech. Flexitimes, understanding project managers, beautiful work and relaxing Table Tennis games all this has gone a long way in helping me during my preparation period. Even afterwards, there are some things i will be carrying with me from here to whereever i go : Some beautiful firendships i had made.... Bhargav, Jerin, Geetha and Archana.

Everytime i leave a place i feel sad about leaving it be it School, College or Work and now i'm having the same feelings all over again on leaving this place.

I had always treated HCL as my partime job during my preparation for CAT, but somehow i fell in love with the work i was asked to do.

HCL Technologies is always gonna find a sweet corner somewhere in my heart. And hopefully someday i'll be able to repay its kindness.
I'm slowly coming out of it...

due to the efforts of a beautiful set of friends Preethi, Bhargav and Geetha. Thanks a ton folks.

Never knew how i would be able to go through this phase without all of you.
